R8: *6sc, inc* (48)
R9 – 16: sc around
add safety eyes between rows 11-12 about 6 stitches apart
R17: *6sc, dec*
R18: *5sc, dec*
R19: *4sc, dec*
R20: *3sc, dec*
R21: *2sc, dec*
R22: *sc, dec*
Stuff pumpkin
R23: dec in each st
Finish off by leaving a 12-inch tail. Thread the tail through a tapestry needle and stitch through each of the remaining 6 stitches, pulling snugly to close the gap. Secure with a knot, but keep the yarn attached!
Guide the yarn upwards through the initial chain you created and work the 6 single crochets through it. You'll repeat this step, always emerging through the same hole.
Position the yarn flat along this line, then sew through the tightened opening at the base. Pull firmly, forming one section of the pumpkin.
Continue sewing in this manner along each line, firmly cinching the yarn to shape the sections.
Tie another knot and weave in the tail
Stem
In brown,

Fasten off, and leave tail
Stuff stem and sew on to center of the top of the pumpkin
Legs
In orange,
R1: MR, 6 sc (6)

Round 4: sc in each stitch (10)
Cut the yarn after completing the first leg. Proceed to work on the second leg, and there's no need to cut the yarn when transitioning to the body.
Body
R5: 2 ch, 10 sc in first leg, sc in 2 ch, 10 sc in second leg, sc in 2 ch (24)
R6-7: sc in each stitch – 2 rounds (24)
R8: *6 sc, dec* 3 times (21)
R9: sc in each stitch (21)

Start filling

Fill as you go

Sew Head on to Body

Arms do not need stuffing
Leave long tail
Sew arms on to boy at round 12.
Cape
In gray,
R1: 19 ch, skip 1 ch, 18 sc (18)
R2-10: 1 ch, turn, 18 sc – 9 Row (18)
R11: 1 ch, turn, 18 sc (18)
R12: 1 ch, turn, 18 sc (18)
Single crochet (sc) along three sides of the cape, adding 1 chain (ch) in each corner. Finish off your work. Cut a 24 cm long piece of black yarn and weave it through the last row to create a cord.
